Bangtail Divide Trail 2013

The Bangtail Divide Trail is regarded as Bozeman’s most notorious mountain biking trail, not so much for it’s difficulty or distance, but because of its buttery smooth single-track trails and epic scenery. The Bangtail Divide Loop is around 31 miles total, starting at the Stone Creek trailhead. You can ride this trail as a complete loop, taking Hwy 86 south bound after exiting at the Brackett Creek trailhead. Another option is shuttling with two cars: drop a vehicle off at the Brackett Creek … [Read more...]

Mountain Biking the Tucson Trails

[slider_pro id="1"]   For years now I've been hearing and reading some good stories about the Tucson Trails, and although I had tried a couple of times to fit Tucson into my list of destinations, it never panned out.. until this time. While on one of the Moab Trails in October, I got talking with two fellow Mountain Bikers [ Doug & Bill ] They were a wealth of information about Mountain Biking Trails throughout the USA, which also included the Tucson Trails. As luck has it, when I … [Read more...]

Munds Wagon Trail down Schnebly Hill Trail Sedona 2011

The Munds Wagon Trail became one of my all time favorite trails last year, and I was really looking forward to riding this gem again. Last year I went UP Munds, and continued UP Schnebly, while climbing Schnebly I was already planning coming down this section, next time I was in Sedona.. Well, I was back, and I was planning on sticking to my plan I made a year previous. However, this time the ride nearly went pear shaped because of a tiny piece of rubber.   Trail Stats … [Read more...]

Highline Trail Sedona 2011

Last year ( 2010 ) I did this trail for the first time, it was also the first ride I did in the USA with a guide. This year the roles had turned, and I was the guide. Luckily for me, I managed to find the trail a whole year later. The ride was just like last year fantastic, and I ended up doing it numerous times... Lucky, 'cos on the first ride I had a fast crash, supermanning at least 20ft. I had no idea why I crashed, until I watched the video that I was shooting when I came off, … [Read more...]

Last year this was my last ride in Moab, I crashed on the last mile of the Sovereign Trail cracking some ribs and my sternum. This time around I made it around the Sovereign Trail in one piece.   Trail Stats & Information Sovereign Trail Nearby Town: Moab Length: 15.45 miles : there are numerous options to lengthen or … [Read more...]

Pipe Dream Moab

Last year October this trail did not exist, and I was pleasantly surprised to have a +10 mile singletrack at my doorstep. I did the Pipe Dream all the way, from Hidden Valley to Aspen Street  and back. Having the smell of Burger King follow me all the way was not easy, knowing that it would only be a 5 min detour to add Burger King or McDonalds to the trail. This time I did not give in to temptation, but it was very difficult.     Trail Stats & … [Read more...]
