My favorite 2011 Trail photos

zzzIMG_1465

In 2011 was another great year I did more than 1000 mtb miles, many miles were done on new trails, and many were done on some old favorites. I took an equal amount of foto's on the trails. Here are a few of my 2011 favorites, some I just like, others bring back fond memories. All in all 2011 goes down as another great year, and will hopefully continue through 2012.       … [Read more...]

sixsixone Core Saver 2011

2011_CORESAVER

Last year ( 2010 ) on Moab's Sovereign Trail I managed the "Mother of all Endo's"  off a 4 foot ledge, face planting myself in luckily the only bit of sand in miles.  The end result was a cracked sternum and 3 cracked ribs. The cause of all these cracked bones, was .... my camera!. I always wear my camera fastened to my camelback  chest strap, and I landed on my face and chest, and the camera pushed directly into my sternum, cracking it along with the 3 ribs. I realized how lucky I … [Read more...]

2011 Coresaver by sixsixone

Although 2010 was a fantastic year for me on and off the trails, it was also quite a painful year due to a few "crashes". Luckily for me nothing really serious, but I know that my luck might not last, and just like everyone else, I'm getting older and more brittle. In 2010 I managed to break my wrist, break my big toe, break two ribs, crack 2 ribs and crack my sternum.. and of course lot's of bacon on various body parts. I have big plans for 2011, and have decided to focus a bit more on … [Read more...]

. I have been staying at Moab Rim Campark for 4 years running, always through the month of October. Although everyone is welcome at Moab Rim Campark, mountain bikers will especially feel at home here. If you are looking for a resort, or heated swimming pool, or air conditioned outdoor mini golf, then this is not the place for you, however if you are looking to stay somewhere with an adventurous feel, somewhere that offers stunning views, and somewhere that is mountain bike friendly, then … [Read more...]
